The research participants were the University of Adelaide, the University of Wollongong, Deakin University and RMIT University. The Australian National University and Monash University were also involved during the lifetime of the Energy Pipelines CRC.

The industry membership of the CRC was represented by the APGA Research and Standards Committee (APGA RSC). This committee membership covered the whole spectrum of suppliers, constructors and operators of energy pipelines. The Energy Pipelines CRC through the APGA RSC was a member of an International Tripartite with the Pipeline Research Council International and the European Pipeline Research Group.
