CEO's Update December 2018

As the holiday season starts, it is important to reflect on the year’s activities and achievements.

Just over 12 months ago, we submitted the stage 2 application for Future Fuels CRC. It is pleasing to see that the entity is now operational and has recently approved 12 research projects.

A key focus for Energy Pipelines CRC during 2018 has been to establish an appropriate transition plan to oversee the completion of our funded activities. The plan was approved by the Board in February and subsequently approved by Members.

We are on track to conclude all research projects by April 2019 and to commercialise some of the products and IP developed over the past 8 years. We have met our in-kind obligations to the Commonwealth and are hopeful of meeting nearly all of our research activity milestones.

There have also been a number of achievements that are not listed in the Commonwealth milestone tables.

None of the above would have been possible without the continued commitment of both researchers and industry advisors to the research activities. Their efforts are greatly appreciated.

The management team have been outstanding during the year, managing the continuing work of Energy Pipelines CRC and the establishment of Future Fuels CRC. Thank you to David for his leadership through the past two years and on his role in establishing the Future Fuels CRC.

A special thank you to the secretariat - Klaas, Fari, Matthew and Lyndal – for their dedication and professionalism during the year. We also extend a warm welcome to Darlene who has recently joined the team to provide part time administrative support.

I also wish to thank the Board, in particular, Charles, for their support and guidance during the past 12 months.

Please note that our offices will be closed from 21st December until 7th January.

On behalf of the team, I wish you all a safe and enjoyable holiday season and look forward to working with you as we conclude the funded activities of Energy Pipelines CRC in 2019.

Ps. The December quarter in kind requests will be sent out in mid January. All contributions will be gratefully recorded.
