CEO's Update April 2019
After a very busy March in which we recorded our highest ever number (14) and dollar value ($590,700) milestone invoicing, April has been a relatively quiet invoicing month. However, all projects are on track to be completed before the 30 June cut off.
A number of final reports have been received during the month. Those that have been signed off by industry and management are now available on the members’ area of the website. Centre staff have been working with industry advisors on the preparation of industry summaries and guidelines. We have also been very busy with the preparation of the legacy book to be published on completion of the Energy Pipelines CRC activities.
I gave a short presentation to the Board of Future Fuels CRC on the proposed transitioning of Energy Pipelines CRC. The final wind up plan for the company will be considered at the 22 May meeting of the Energy Pipelines CRC Board.
The May newsletter will contain more details of the wind up plan and process. Please note that all research reports, presentations and publications will remain available on the members’ area of the website for the foreseeable future.
It is pleasing to note that researchers from Energy Pipelines CRC are giving 12 of the 36 presentations at this year’s Joint Technical Meeting. It is a measure of our success that we receive “equal” billing at these events. Congratulations to all team members.
I will be issuing the final request for in-kind provided to the CRC activities in mid-May.
This will cover the period 1 January 2019 to 15 May 2019 and will be issued via email request.
An in-kind template will be included on the members’ area of the website. Whilst we have met our in-kind obligations to the Commonwealth, it will be nice to go out on a high, so I urge you to complete the forms and return them to me by the end of May.
We plan to issue three more newsletters – in May and in June, with a final newsletter in September once we have completed all of our year end reporting arrangements. These newsletters will include some reflections over the life of Energy Pipelines CRC. Any contributions will be welcome.
