Ian Kett
Ian is currently the Director of Strategic Programs within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Deakin University and has been managing major strategic projects at the University since 2011. Ian is presently overseeing the initial development of the Australian Centre for Infrastructure Durability as well as a range of other key strategic initiatives for the University and relationships with commercial and government organisations.
In 2011 Ian was appointed as the Program Director for the development of the $104m Australian Future Fibres Research and Innovation Centre (AFFRIC) and was also the Acting Director of Carbon Nexus from July 2013 to July 2014, overseeing the commissioning and initial start-up of this carbon fibre and composites research facility.
Before joining Deakin, Ian was the Executive Director of Kinect Australia, a leading health promotion organisation. He has had experience as a Senior Manager within State Government and as a Director on a number of Boards.
